Office Hours
After-hours coverage When we are not here, our calls are answered by an answering machine. If you would like to leave a message on our voice mail or schedule an appointment, just leave your name, message and telephone number. We will return your call on the next business day. If you urgently need to reach doctors Littlefield before our regular office hours a pager number will be announced. In case of emergency, if you do not think that you can wait for the covering doctor to return your call or if you cannot wait for an appointment, you should call your primary care doctor for advice about what steps to take or you should seek care at the nearest emergency room. To schedule an appointment during regular office hours, just call and tell us that you need an appointment. If you have not been here before, the receptionist will ask for your name, address, phone number, information about your problem and where you have been treated in the past, as well as insurance information. What to expect on your first visit When you come to the office, you will be asked to complete a new patient intake form (click here to download a copy, if you would like to complete it before you arrive) and a pain assessment form, both of which will be reviewed by the doctor before you have an examination. The review and exam are designed to help us to know if chiropractic care is likely to help you—if so, your doctor will tell you about what kinds of treatment you should consider. If not, we will help you to get a referral for appropriate care. The first visit usually takes between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on your condition, history, and findings. We would like for you to plan on being here about an hour the first time; afterward, your appointments will be shorter. Some patients need to have x-rays taken before treatment can be done. If you already have had x-rays taken, please let the receptionist know when you call us. It is helpful if you bring the films with you at your first visit. If that is not possible, please have your x-ray report faxed to our office by the hospital or doctor where you had your x-rays taken. This will save time when you are seen and help us to know whether you can be treated here. |
